Although I love to read, I haven't been able to find a lot of time for reading lately. I recently went on a 7-day cruise and took this book with me. I really don't like fiction usually. Give me a good ole fashioned true crime, new age religious philosophy or rogue nutrition book any day! BUT..Gone Girl, a novel, was written by a lady from Missouri about a couple who lives in Missouri and I had heard good things about the book, so I read it. Story is the wife disappears and the husband is suspected of murder. I loved it. It is currently being made into a movie and they filmed the movie in Missouri. Can't wait to see it!

It was a great book, Beth, but without giving away any spoilers, I wasn't crazy about the ending. Ya know what I mean???

Well, I know what I had hoped and expected to be the ending, so in that way, it was a surprise. That's why I don't usually read fiction...too predictable and boring and what the reader expects/desires is usually the ending. But I was surprised, disappointed, devastated and just pissed at what happened at the end of this book. Deer in the headlights.

I've wondered about this book. Heard lots of good things about it. Maybe I'll quit wondering about it and actually read it!
